CONTRACT
Boudoir by lastphoto.kc | Client Contract (Kansas City)
Please review the following information in full. To complete your booking, this contract must be read and electronically signed within 24 hours of receipt.
1. Session Information & Location
All hair, makeup, and photography session services shall be provided at the photographer’s studio, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by both parties:

2. Copyright Notice
All images are protected under United States Copyright Law and remain the sole property of Laura Straub, d/b/a lastphoto.kc. Unauthorized reproduction—including but not limited to screenshotting, scanning, copying, altering, printing, or sharing images on any platform—is strictly prohibited and may result in fines starting at $150,000 per infraction under federal law.
Clients purchasing digital files are granted a limited license for personal use only. This license does not include the right to alter, crop, or edit images in any form or reproduce them in any medium without express written permission. Unauthorized usage will be pursued to the full extent of the law. Retail labs are routinely notified to deny unauthorized prints.
The photographer retains all artistic discretion over final edits and presentation. Please respect the intellectual property and livelihood of the artist.
3. Punctuality & Late Arrivals
Clients are expected to arrive on time. Any arrival of 15 minutes or more past the scheduled session time without prior communication will result in forfeiture of the session and all fees paid. Late arrivals may be rescheduled at the discretion of the photographer, subject to availability, and a new retainer fee and applicable rescheduling or cancellation fees will apply.
4. Payment Terms
Session Fee: $750 (non-refundable; required to reserve your session date)
Minimum Investment: $990 (due in full or through a payment plan)
A payment plan must be initiated within 30 days of booking. If it is not initiated within that window, the session will be canceled and a $500 cancellation fee will be charged. The session date will be removed from the calendar without further notice.
The full balance must be paid no later than 30 days before your session. Failure to meet this deadline may result in session cancellation and forfeiture of all funds paid.
Late payments may result in your account being forwarded to collections. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Prepayment Requirement: Clients must begin their product payment plan within 30 days of booking. Prepayment can be made in full or divided into installments through an approved payment plan. Regardless of the method chosen, the entire balance must be paid in full at least 30 days prior to the session date. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the session and all monies paid.
5. Bonuses & Ordering
Each collection includes bonus selections that must be submitted via email to lastphoto.kc at least 14 days before your scheduled session. Bonuses not selected in time may be forfeited.
All product orders, image selections, and artwork credits must be finalized at your reveal appointment (typically held the same day as your session). Orders not placed at that time will expire.
6. Editing Disclaimer
Any body-altering edits beyond the photographer’s standard retouching (at the photographer's sole discretion) will incur an additional fee. This includes, but is not limited to, the removal of semi-permanent or permanent elements such as braces, tan lines, scars, tattoos, stretch marks, or other bodily features.
Additional editing requests are charged per image, with pricing beginning at $99 per image. All such requests must be submitted in writing and approved by the photographer prior to editing. The photographer reserves the right to decline requests that compromise artistic integrity or technical quality.
7. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
All cancellations are subject to a flat $500 cancellation fee, regardless of when the cancellation occurs.
No-shows (including clients who are more than 15 minutes late without prior communication) will be charged an additional $500 no-show fee.
Rescheduling may be allowed with written approval, subject to availability, and may also incur rescheduling fees.
Sessions canceled by the studio due to emergencies will receive full credit to be used within 6 months.
8. Legal Notices & Limitation of Liability
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri and/or Kansas where applicable. Any disputes arising shall be resolved through binding arbitration with United States Arbitration & Mediation, and the prevailing party may recover reasonable legal fees and costs.
Client agrees not to initiate chargebacks under any circumstances. Doing so will result in legal action, collections, and credit bureau reporting.
Client acknowledges all risks involved with boudoir photography and agrees to hold the photographer harmless from any and all claims.
9. Model Release & Privacy
Client grants the photographer permission to use images for promotional purposes unless otherwise specified in writing. Opting out will not affect services unless a model release was exchanged for a discounted session. Client must opt out in writing to the photographer before their session, or before 11:59pm the day that their session is held.
Acknowledgment
By AGREEING TO THE TERMS & CONDITIONS, the Client confirms they are of legal age, have read the contract in its entirety, and agree to be legally bound by all terms.

I understand that all payments are non-refundable. If my balance is unpaid, my session may be canceled and/or referred to collections.
I agree that no guests are allowed during the session unless explicitly approved in writing by the photographer.
I understand that all payments are non-refundable, and late payments incur a $25/day late fee. If more than 14 days late, my balance may be sent to collections.

I understand that if I am a no-show, I will be charged an additional $500 fee.
I will not dispute payments or initiate a chargeback under any circumstances.
I acknowledge that all images are copyrighted by lastphoto.kc and I do not have rights to alter, crop, or reproduce them without written permission.
RECAP:

Card on File Requirement:
Client agrees to provide two valid credit or debit cards to be kept on file. These cards will be used for payment collection if client fails to make a scheduled payment as agreed upon in this contract. The primary card will be charged first; if it is declined or unavailable, the secondary card will be charged automatically. Client authorizes Boudoir by lastphoto.kc to charge either card for outstanding balances, late fees, or cancellation fees as outlined in this agreement. If the client has additional cards on file from previous payments or sessions, those cards may be used as tertiary, quaternary and beyond, payment methods.
