I absolutely love walking into Victoria’s Secret and finding some killer lingerie… and then I look at the price tag! Yikes! While they do have high quality items that are very much worth the price tag and last a long time, it can be hard to drop money when you don’t even know what you want! If you’re not sure what styles you like, or if you want to try something new, Amazon has absolutely fantastic options for a decent price! Amazon has absolutely anything you could imagine for affordable pricing and I am more than happy to help you find pieces to try! Below are options that you can look through to spark some ideas! Feel free to bring any of these items, or anything else you can think of, there are way more options out there than I can list!
Bridal Boudoir Outfits
White Sets
If you’re engaged, congrats!! A lot of people think bridal boudoir pictures means your veil is the focal point. Not true. There are so many different white pieces you can wear to get the bridal look without any of the cheese.
Garter
The garter is the perfect accessory to match with your bridal lingerie. They are going to be slipping it off with their teeth come wedding day so it is a playful hint at what is to come.
Tops for your Boudoir Session
Corset
What ever happened to corsets? I get it, you can’t breathe in them, but WOW do they look amazing in photos. They are incredibly flattering on every body type and give off a subtle role-play vibe that can really add to the mood of your shoot.
Crop tops
Some people really love lacy lingerie, some really love casual friday’s and some love both. The crop top can do wonders for your shape and it is so suggestive. Play around with ones that are loose, tight, cut out in the back and various lengths. I think you will find something you really like.
Boudoir Session Accessories
Fishnets
It really work for a specific style. They can be for everyone!! They can add some fire to your jeans & bra outfits, they can add some spice to your oversize sweater, and they can go with just about any lingerie set with some killer heals!
Garter belts
Nine out of ten women have no idea how to put these on. This is pretty similar to groomsmen trying to put on a tie at their friends wedding. When garter belts are paired with stockings and heels they can add a few inches to your legs. (Also, no worries! I will be able to help you put these on if you’re needing it!
Everyday Lingerie for Boudoir
Bralette / Halter Bras
These are typically a lace material or a beautiful pattern. Bralettes are a ‘lighter’ bra that is typically unstructured with no wiring. Halter bras all the way up to your neck line. These are perfect if you are looking for something a little more modest.
High waisted
Everything old is new again. High waisted bottoms were popular back in the 70’s. They look SO amazing in pictures. They have a way of slimming the stomach and the cheeky bottoms create an amazing curve on your bum to really highlight your assets.
Luxury & Comfortable Lingerie
Robes
It can be hard to style an outfit that isn’t just a bra and panties. Robes can give the idea of lounging around the house, they can be playful to slip off or can even be worn without a bra underneath to add something to the imagination.
One Pieces / Bodysuits for Boudoir
We have arrived at my absolute favorite lingerie to photograph. Sometimes called a body suit, I think these are the most underrated lingerie there is. It is incredibly flattering on all body types. There are a million different designs for how it covers you and it is more versatile than you would think.
Already in your closet
His, Hers, or Yours – Shirt
This is one of my favorites! It is so versatile. The button up shirt look has a feel of waking up late on a sunday and tossing on a favorite shirt of your partner’s. It can be tame all the way buttoned up or spicy pulling it open, taking it off, or letting it lay so it just barely covers you.
T Shirt
This is another casual option to start off your shoot with. There are a million poses you can do with a t-shirt a shot of you taking it off makes the perfect transition to show the next outfit on the following page of your album.
Oversized Sweater
This is what we most commonly start off shoots with because it is playful, it gives your hands something to do, it is suggestive and there is something about pulling clothes in all different directions that is so sexy.
Shoes
Heels
A classic. Heels do so many things. They make your legs look longer, tone up your calves, help your posture, and add an extra layer of sex appeal to almost any lingerie outfit. Even if casual is your thing I still recommend bringing at least one pair.
Boots
Boots are like the sexy step sister to heels. So fun, so playful. It can be a sexy pose to be pulling them on ready for a night out. You can wear them with a dress or with lingerie.
Tennis Shoes
Who says you can’t rock some high-tops, converse, Nike’s, or whatever your favorite tennis shoes are?! I personally LIVE in tennis shoes, meaning that they fit my personality which makes me most comfortable in them!
Sandals
Just like tennis shoes, who says you can’t? There are so many different types of sandals that can work! Anywhere from basic ones that tie up your leg, sparkle ones that glisten in the light, and more!
